Tim Zinn - CEO and President
Tim has more than 30 years of executive management experience in digital healthcare systems and solutions, and building organizations through technology innovation, product positioning and strategic leadership.
Tim's successful track record includes: Executive Chairman of MDAX Corporation - the foremost provider of digital healthcare manpower and productivity systems, which he later sold to Johnson & Johnson; President and CEO of DATX - a technology pioneer in hospital order entry systems, which later sold to Control Data; CEO of Continental Healthcare Systems - a leading provider of digital pharmacy management solutions; CMO of CHC Inc. - a global provider of healthcare and laboratory financial management systems, which was acquired by ADAC; and CFO of Medicus - a healthcare facilities management / outsourcing consulting firm, where Tim led four major acquisitions consolidated the operating entities and subsequently sold to Whittaker Corporation.
Tim holds a BSIE and MSSE from Southern Methodist University in Systems Engineering and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Tim is also an active keynote speaker at healthcare seminars, a contributing editor for Computers in Healthcare (including the Wall Street Journal) and a member of the UCSD Cardiovascular Advisory Board.
Jim Collins – Advisor
Jim has 25 years as a C-level executive in financial/operational management, recently as CEO, founder of Janus Health, a wireless communication and EMR platform for mobile physicians, and President, CFO, Director of Scripps Clinic, La Jolla, CA. Founded in 1924, Scripps Clinic is one of the oldest private medical centers in the United States. With over 2,000 employees, this multi-specialty, multi-site service organization delivers clinical care, research and graduate education in over 50 fields of medicine and surgery.
Jim has built and mentored multiple executive leadership teams including start up companies and corporate turnarounds/restructurings, both domestically and internationally and has a proven record for developing/instituting disruptive business models, and executing their successful exit strategies. Jim has served multiple industries including health care, technology, consumer electronics and financial services.
Jim’s prior experience includes ten years investment banking, and five years as a CPA with an international public accounting firm. He has served 15 directorships.
Jim received his B.S. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of Southern California.
Alex Stenzler - CTO & Chief Medical Officer
Alex brings more than 30 years of clinical healthcare design and executive management experience in critical care and pulmonary medicine.
Alex is commited to the design and availability of healthcare solutions that make a significant impact on patient outcomes and deliver both convenience and affordability of such care.
Mr. Stenzler was Vice President of Advanced Technologies for CareFusion (later acquired by VIASYS, and Cardinal Health) for two decades. He was also President of leading respiratory R&D company, where he managed pulmonary psychology and respiratory care departments in both New York and Florida.
Alex has been a pioneer in several NIH and DARPA studies, and has served on steering committees for randomized controlled trials in high-frequency ventilation, inhaled nitric oxide and liquid ventilation. In addition, he has held several academic appointments, including assistant professor at SUNY Stonybrook, and a 12 year tenure at the Graduate School of Adelphi University.
He has published numerous papers and abstracts, been an invited speaker at many national and international congresses, and holds more than a dozen U.S. technology patents.
Bill Ross - Executive Chairman
Bill has more than 40 years senior executive experience in the healthcare industry with particular focus in respiratory care and critical health management.
Bills successful track record initiated at SensorMedics where he was responsible for pivotal business developments including organic and acquisitive strategies in the U.S. and Europe. Later, as President, he spearheded the organization through acquisitions by Thermo Electron and the subsequent spin-off of VIASYS Healthcare, where he served as interim CEO and COO.
Mr. Ross holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Idaho, and an M.S. in biomedical engineering from Washington University. Prior to joining SensorMedics he worked on nuclear medicine imaging technology applications.
Steve Han - VP of Technology
Steve Han brings more than 17 years of experience in medical and consumer product development, such as respiratory critical care and diagnostic technologies, infusion pumps and disposables, handheld insulin delivery systems, sterilization equipment, and 3D rapid prototype printers. His métier further includes general and electro-mechanical design, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, with strong credentials in FEA and CFD analysis.
He also has significant experience in the application of FDA, CGMP, GQR, and ISO regulations, an extensive background in R&D, product development, manufacturing, equipment and assembly design, along with injection molding for plastic and silicone.
Steve has worked with many medical companies, such as CareFusion (formally Cardinal Health), Johnson and Johnson, Abbott Laboratories, and Phillips (formally Respironics).
A Provost's Honors graduate, Steve earned a B.S. in medical engineering from the University of California, San Diego, and currently has four released medical and consumer product patents, with nine pending.
Steve King - Advisor
Steve has over 25 years of experience in technology start-ups.
In 1987 Steve founded Datrontech PLC, a leading European, value added IT distributor which he took public on the London stock market in 1995. When he left the UK for the USA in 1999, the company posted sales in excess of $350 million with 14 trading divisions operating in 9 countries.
Since 1999, Steve has focused on US software and services opportunities including; Dig Media - digital music delivery platform (clients included Microsoft and Telefonica); Silicon Mountain Group - digital memory (an OTC company) whose resellers included Tiger Direct, Costco, Best Buy; Sabio - digital storage; Top Local Search - automated SEO software (clients included Sports Authority, and Rhino Linings), and SOCI - an automated Social Media software platform.
Most recently Steve became a Director at Incubate Holdings - a hyper-specialist digital marketing agency whose clients include Shire Regenerative Medicine, US Health Group, Life Gear, DJO global and FRS energy.
